Ocean Shores Area

The beach is always a favorite getaway. But for people in Washington state, Ocean Shores is the number one seaside destination. It’s not surprising, however. Located at the tip of historic Twin Harbors on the Pacific Coast, it’s close to nature and close to the city amenities of Aberdeen and Hoquiam.  And, it’s just a quick boat ride from the deep-sea fishing village of Westport that clusters cafés, shops and restaurants on its working marina.

Nature is all around. The Villages is nestled steps from the popular Damon Point State Park and the Oyhut refuge.  And it’s a short drive from the world-class Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge, where millions of birds visit each year for a spectacular show.

Here in temperate Ocean Shores, there are six miles of sandy beaches, plus another 23 miles of interconnecting lakes and canals in addition to a convenient marina. It’s a virtual boater’s paradise.

Regardless of the time of year, you will likely find a secluded place to call your own on the beach. Maybe, you’ll be visited by a seagull. Or, perhaps a rider on horseback. For a quick moment you could be on Treasure Island. In the off-season, the Pacific Ocean puts on quite a performance.  And, you will have a front-row seat in your snug home with fireplace and balcony.

For nightlife, there are dozens of restaurants, pubs, cafes and cinemas plus the popular Quinault Beach Resort and Casino that features live music, beachfront dining and all your favorite games.

Unforgettable Grays Harbor County has stunning scenery, a temperate rain forest, picturesque Lake Quinault plus dozens of state parks and miles of broad, accessible beaches. Come, visit and soak up the best nature has to offer.
